Locating an inmate
You can find a Putnam County jail log on the sheriff’s website at http://smartweb.pcso.us/smartwebclient/jail.aspx. On the same page, on the left bar, there is also an efficient inmate search tool which can help you locate the county’s present and past detainees.
You can attempt to obtain information on the phone by calling the county’s Department of Corrections, Booking Desk at (386) 329-0854. They will probably be willing to tell you if a specific person is currently in jail. It is hard to believe they will be willing to reveal information on past inmates on the phone.
Another alternative to trace Putnam County arrest records is to turn to the FDLE’s computerized criminal history search tool. After paying $24, you will be able to view a person’s incarceration history in the entire state.
Finally, you can expand your search to carry out a full Florida inmate search using the FDoC online inquiry tool. The information shown to searchers includes the inmate’s physical attributes, gender, age and mugshot. Searchers can also see the facility in which the detainee is held plus a description of his/her offenses and incarceration history.
